Land at Keflavík International Airport and transfer to Hotel Húsafell in West Iceland.
After check-in (don’t forget to request your free Northern Lights wake-up call) experience a truly authentic Icelandic tradition by relaxing in the hotel’s outdoor geothermally heated swimming pools while filling your lungs with the crisp, clean Arctic air.
In the evening, if the Northern Lights are on display you can request access to the pool for the ultimate outdoor viewing experience from the warm embrace of geothermal water.
After a hearty breakfast make your way to the newly opened Krauma Nature Baths located only 30 minutes away in Reykholt. Krauma is a world-class wellness complex featuring two saunas, a tranquility chamber and five outdoor nature baths fed by Europe's most powerful hot spring, Deildartunguhver.
If you'd like to balance your relaxation with a little adventure, you have the option to turn up the adrenaline with a snowmobile or ice cave excursion to nearby Langjökull glacier a head underground to explore Iceland's largest lava cave. Daily departures from Hotel Húsafell include ice caving, lava caving and snowmobiling.
On your way back to Keflavík Airport make sure to visit the Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfall duo just six minutes from the hotel.
Subject to availability.
Optional tours (ice cave, lava cave, snowmobiling, etc.) are bookable upon request and are not included in the itinerary price.
Although the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and therefore their appearance cannot be guaranteed, chances of sightings increase by staying 3-4 nights under the clear, dark night skies at Húsafell away from light pollution.
